The "IQ" Myth

The Two Question Types You Must Know
The Quantitative battery is split into two specific formats. Mastering these is the key to a higher SAS score.

How to Improve (Without Cheating)

The CAT4 is strictly timed. Children who rely on finger counting will fail to finish the paper. We drill Number Bonds and Times Tables so they can spot that "8 is 2 cubed" instantly.
2. Recognizing "Square" Numbers
A secret of CAT4: They love Square Numbers (4, 9, 16, 25) and Cube Numbers. If a child recognizes these special numbers instantly, they can solve Number Series questions in seconds.
Why It Matters
Schools use the Quantitative SAS score to Stream students. A high score (115+) is often the ticket to the "Top Set" in Math for secondary school. A low score might result in being placed in a lower support set, even if their class grades are okay.
